Water

Rivers, Lakes... no boundaries...

Travis and I have owned boats practically since the first day we met. Very soon after we got together, he picked up an 19 Tahiti with a ford 460, not being a Ford guy he struggled with that and realized how much fiberglass work it needed so he decided to sell it. He ended up finding a 19' Caribbean by Hardin Marine Marauder jet boat, rebuilding it almost completely, and got it to go over 85mph on the water. Kinda scary if you ask me lol!

Soon came along our son and I convinced him we needed to purchase more of a family style boat, so we ended up with a 23' Crownline. This was more of a family style boat, with an open bow and deeper hull boat than most, but also not a ski boat per se. We enjoyed this boat until our son was about two years old. At that time we were all dealing with the crash of 2008, which lead us to the decision to downsize the number of toys we owned and sold the boat to some friends of ours. I remember the day the boat was sold, that was a sad day for the three of us most definitely.

Our son was basically born and raised on a boat from day one, and it seemed that we just couldn't live without one. After having a period of time where we didn't own a boat, we found ourselves craving being out on the water again. It also didn't help that a bunch of our friends started to have boats themselves. It just seemed to create an even bigger urge to own one of our own yet again. In late 2016, we decided to go shopping for a pontoon style boat, preferably with a triple pontoon. We figured this would be a great family boat and one that we could invite Roscoe's friends and others out with us. As we were making our way into the dealer, Travis happened to glance over and see yet again, a boat similar to our old Crownline. But it it wasn't your standard looking boat, it looked as though it had jets sticking out the back of it. He couldn't help but get all caught up into the details and features of this boat and before we knew it, we were signing on the dotted line, purchasing our first 24' Yamaha jet boat.

Boating has been our life...

Yes it really is a jet...

Unlike your ordinary V-Drive or Prop style boat, the Yamaha has twin jets with two 180 horse cylinders. Travis loves it because with the two jets, you can control them either together or one at a time. He can even sit stationary and spin the boat in a complete circle by just manipulating the two jets opposite of one another.

Being a jet, we can take this boat into less than two feet of water where other wake board boats or larger boats don't dare venture.

The Yamaha performs completely different than that of a wake board boat. It sits very shallow in the water, yet handles large waves well.

Our son has learned how to surf and board behind it, but we tend to just enjoy taking it out as a cruiser along the Sacramento River and just hanging on the water. We enjoy bbqing on the back of it as often as we can and since it seats up to 12 people, we definitely find ourselves river bound as often as possible when the weather permits!

We are just an adventurous California couple who has always enjoyed living a little bit outside of the box.

From boats, too many cars to count, mountain, dirt and street bikes, to travel trailers and now jeeps. Toys have always been our passion and a little bit of a weakness when it comes to having too much fun.

Our motto, "You only live once" has pretty much become our way of doing life!
